Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Alsip, Illinois, to repair and maintain production and building equipment. The ideal candidate will have advanced mechanical skills and experience in troubleshooting machinery.

• Experience with climbing towers up to 35 feet high.

Job description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Exempt: No)

Location: All

Supervisor Title: Maintenance Manager

Purpose: Repair and maintain a variety of facilities, production and building equipment, along with related work involved in maintaining the building.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities
• Maintain control and motor systems
• Diagnose problems with equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
• Support and comply with safety and environmental guidelines
• Communicate daily with Production and Shipping Managers
• Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team
• Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operations
• Research and purchase parts as needed for machine breakdowns or spare parts replacement
• Improve machine uptime by ensuring all CM's and PM's are properly performed and documented in MaintainX
• Other duties as assigned

• No fear of heights
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Prior process machinery troubleshooting experience

Education
