Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the repair and maintenance of facilities and production equipment. The role involves diagnosing problems and performing repairs, as well as communicating with management to prioritize maintenance tasks.

Job description

Maintenance Technician

Purpose: Repair and maintain a variety of facilities, production, and building equipment, along with related work involved in maintaining the building.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain control and motor systems.
  • Diagnose problems with equipment and repair/replace defective parts.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Support and comply with safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Communicate daily with Production and Shipping Managers.
  • Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team.
  • Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operations.
  • Research and purchase parts as needed for machine breakdowns and/or spare parts replacement.
  • Improve machine uptime by ensuring all CM’s and PM’s are properly performed and documented in MaintainX.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, communicate, see, and hear.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
  • Frequently climb towers up to 35 feet high.
  • Regularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch or bend.
  • Strong motor skills.
