Job Description Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing Expansion

About the Role:

We are a rapidly expanding snack food manufacturer, launching a new, state-of-the-art facility in Alsip, IL. We are building a new maintenance team to support our operations and are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for the 2nd shift. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team from the ground up, assisting with setup, layout, and installation of new equipment. Your Key Responsibilities:

• Meet Plant Goals: Safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct daily and weekly PMs and manage projects for equipment upkeep.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Minimize downtime through prompt troubleshooting.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Installation Support: Assist with new equipment installation as the facility expands.

What You Bring:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in high-speed environments such as food, plastics, or CPG.
• Technical Skills: Mechanical and electrical abilities, PLC troubleshooting, sensors, hydraulics, motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, electrical wiring, control voltage, conduit, wiring, 3-phase motors.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, energetic, punctual, team-oriented.

Qualifications:

• Industry Knowledge: Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Education: Associate’s degree or relevant technical certifications.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: PLC programming and ladder logic skills.
• Additional Skills: Welding, pipefitting, boilers, HVAC experience.
