Job summary

Vincentian Home in McCandless, PA is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will perform installations, repairs and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems, supporting a pleasant environment for residents and staff.

Candidates with five years of varied maintenance experience and a valid driver's license are preferred; healthcare or long-term care exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in various maintenance trades.
• Current/valid driver’s license required.
• Healthcare or long-term care maintenance experience preferred.
• Trade or vocational training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, repairs and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Maintain communication systems, water and waste systems, lighting and electrical systems.
• Operate utility systems and perform landscaping and grounds duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and other caregivers to ensure a safe environment.

What You’ll Do at Vincentian

Working with our maintenance team, you’ll perform installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance in the areas of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems. This can include communication systems, domestic water and waste systems, medical gas and vacuum systems, lighting and electricity systems, and more. You’ll also perform carpentry activities, operate all components of the utility systems, and establish and maintain good working rapport and cooperation with our clinical teams and other caregivers. You may also perform landscaping, grounds maintenance and other outdoor/indoor duties as assigned.

About You

Our Skilled Maintenance Technician must meet the following requirements:

• Trade or vocational school graduate preferred
• Current/valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in various maintenance trades preferred
• Previous environmental or maintenance service in health care or a long-term care setting preferred.
