Job summary

Vincentian Home in McCandless, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the campus, ensuring safety, comfort, and a welcoming environment for residents. You’ll perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks, coordinate with clinical teams, and contribute to a clean, well-functioning facility.

The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Trade or vocational school graduate preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 5+ years of experience in various maintenance trades preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain communication systems, domestic water and waste systems, medical gas and vacuum systems, lighting, electrical systems, and other facility equipment.
• Perform carpentry projects and general building repairs as needed.
• Operate and monitor components of the facility’s utility systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to help ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
• Work with clinical teams to address maintenance needs and provide excellent service.
• Assist with landscaping, grounds maintenance, and other indoor/outdoor duties as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures, facility policies, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Working as part of our maintenance team, you’ll help keep our building and systems running safely and efficiently by:

• Performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Maintaining communication systems, domestic water and waste systems, medical gas and vacuum systems, lighting, electrical systems, and other facility equipment.
• Performing carpentry projects and general building repairs as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade or vocational school graduate preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 5+ years of experience in various maintenance trades preferred.
• Previous maintenance or environmental services experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cooperatively with clinical teams, coworkers, residents, and visitors.
