Job summary

Bosch USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to operate under limited supervision and independently install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and building systems in our Power Solutions Division. You will work on hydraulic injection molding machines and related equipment, using blueprints and manuals for corrective actions.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and several years of experience in maintenance, with SAP and Outlook knowledge considered a

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in technical field preferred.
• Four years related experience and/or training in maintenance (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs hydraulic injection molding machines and ancillary equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance, inspecting drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, filters, etc.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems using blueprints, manuals, parts catalogs; determines corrective actions.
• Repairs machines, equipment or building systems with precision instruments and testing devices.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and electronic components.
• Repairs machinery to access defective parts; supports die maintenance and roll forming equipment; installs and repairs automated machinery including robots/ PLCs.
• Participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Performs housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled, multi-craft technician who works independently and uses judgement to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and building systems.

• Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, hydraulic injection molding machines and ancillary equipment. Uses blueprints, manuals, and verbal instructions to troubleshoot difficulties and take corrective actions.
• Performs preventive maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other predictive maintenance actions.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Repairs machines, equipment, or building systems, using equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Repairs machines, equipment or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools or power tools. Provides support of die maintenance and troubleshooting roll forming equipment. Installs, programs, and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers
• Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
• Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in technical field is preferred.
• Four years related experience and/or training; with experience in all phases of maintenance (ie: mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, etc. Experience with SAP and Microsoft Outlook is a plus.
