Job summary

Bosch is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Albion, Indiana. The role involves multi-skilled maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and building systems under limited supervision.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, with an Associate degree preferred. Four years of related experience and/or training across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is expected; SAP and MS Outlook experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Four years related experience and/or training in maintenance (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, etc.).
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Outlook is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs hydraulic injection molding machines and ancillary equipment using blueprints, manuals, and verbal instructions.
• Performs preventive maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, belts, levels, filters, and other predictive actions.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines corrective actions using blueprints and repair manuals.
• Repairs machines, equipment, or building systems with appropriate tools and instruments.
• Installs and repairs electrical components and programmable controls on machinery and equipment.
• Supports die maintenance and troubleshooting roll forming equipment; installs, programs, and repairs automated machinery like robots or PLCs.
• Participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Performs housekeeping and 5-S and other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled, multi-craft technician who works independently and uses judgement to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and building systems.

• Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, hydraulic injection molding machines and ancillary equipment. Uses blueprints, manuals, and verbal instructions to troubleshoot difficulties and take corrective actions.
• Performs preventive maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other predictive maintenance actions.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Repairs machines, equipment, or building systems, using equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Repairs machines, equipment or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools or power tools. Provides support of die maintenance and troubleshooting roll forming equipment. Installs, programs, and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
• Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Associate degree in technical field is preferred.

Four years related experience and/or training; with experience in all phases of maintenance (ie: mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, etc. Experience with SAP and Microsoft Outlook is a plus.
