Holland America-Princess Alaska-Yukon is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge in Alaska. The role includes routine inspections, general maintenance, and coordinating repairs to keep buildings and grounds in top condition.

• Communicates repair status to employees and guests via radios and in person.
• Interacts with guests and staff, providing information about local areas and hotel services.

Maintenance Technician

A Maintenance Assistant performs a variety of tasks to ensure facilities are clean and in good operating condition. Routine general maintenance and repair of the buildings, grounds, and equipment is a contributing factor to the safety and satisfaction of both guests and employees. This job ensures that facilities are maintained at the company level standards and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Routinely performs maintenance inspections, checks, and daily rounds.
• Routinely performs a variety of entry-level maintenance tasks.
• Assists with preventive and corrective maintenance involving inspections and repairs.
• Observes operation of facility equipment updates logs in software applications, and other written maintenance and repair records.
• Communicates verbally via handheld radios and in person for repair calls, troubleshooting, and follow-up with employees and guests on repair status.
• Interacts with employees and guests including but not limited to answering questions and providing information about the local areas, hotel information, and general service interactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age of 18 years to operate service vehicles and maintenance equipment.
• Current, valid driver's license, with three (3) years of clean driving record. Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be requested.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and will be a part of our random drug testing program.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.

• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
