Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep hotel operations safe, clean and fully functional in the Denali Employee Community. You will perform routine repairs, troubleshoot systems, and support a comfortable guest and staff environment.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, logging updates, and communicating repair status. Role requires teamwork, adaptability, and a focus on safety and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 to operate service vehicles and maintenance equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License with fewer than three moving violations.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and participate in random testing.
• Pass pre-employment background check.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• 18+ to reside in company housing where available.
• Holland America‑Princess cannot sponsor employment visas at this time.

As a Maintenance Technician, you ensure our hotel stays safe, clean, and fully operational. From routine repairs to troubleshooting systems, your hands‑on work supports a comfortable environment for guests and staff. You uphold company standards and regulatory compliance, keeping everything running smoothly day to day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Routinely performs maintenance inspections, checks, and daily rounds.
• Routinely performs a variety of entry‑level maintenance tasks.
• Assists with preventive and corrective maintenance involving inspections and repairs.
• Observes operation of facility equipment updates logs in software applications, and other written maintenance and repair records.
• Communicates verbally via handheld radios and in person for repair calls, troubleshooting, and follow‑up with employees and guests on repair status.
• Interacts with employees and guests including but not limited to answering questions and providing information about the local areas, hotel information, and general service interactions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age of 18 years to operate service vehicles and maintenance equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License (not revoked or suspended) with fewer than three moving violations.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening and will be a part of our random drug testing program.
• Must pass a pre‑employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America‑Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
