Job summary

AESC US is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in South Carolina to maintain automated production equipment, perform preventive and predictive work, troubleshoot PLCs and robotics, and support equipment commissioning. You will document work orders in CMMS and mentor junior technicians.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in industrial maintenance, an associate degree or equivalent, and strong skills with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as well as Omron and Siemens PLCs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years industrial maintenance experience, including 2+ years with PLCs.
  • Strong troubleshooting with robotics, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and blueprints.
  • Solid computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Leadership potential and ability to mentor/train others.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.

What You'll Do
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, robotics, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Program, modify, and maintain PLC systems (Omron and Siemens preferred)
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation using the CMMS work order system
  • Train and mentor less experienced team members on equipment best practices

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and lift with hands and arms frequently throughout the day.
  • Required to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers. Candidate must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threat to self or others.
