This Sr. Field Electric Engineer role in Murfreesboro, TN is a full‑time, on‑site position that will design and optimize electrical systems for our battery manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and related standards.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, lead detailed electrical designs, and perform QA/QC reviews at multiple design stages while advancing energy‑efficient manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in electrical design for buildings or industrial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE and related standards.

  • Lead the development of detailed electrical designs that meet project requirements and standards.

  • Apply energy-efficient principles to sustainable electrical system design.
  • Collaborate with process, controls, and other engineers to deliver integrated systems.
  • Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Position Summary

Sr. Field Electric Engineer - GID (Global Industrial Development). Full‑time, on‑site. Murfreesboro, TN.

AESC is a global leader in high‑performance batteries. This role will design and optimize electrical systems for our world‑class battery manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards while advancing energy sustainability.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative electrical systems for battery manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead the development of detailed and accurate electrical system designs that meet project requirements and technical standards.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of project deliverables at various stages (30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC) to ensure compliance with design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and others, guaranteeing safety and reliability across facilities.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical regulations to ensure designs are fully compliant and meet all industry and safety requirements.
  • Integrate energy‑efficient practices and sustainable design principles into electrical systems to reduce environmental impact.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives and contribute to the advancement of energy‑efficient manufacturing solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including process engineers, controls engineers, and other stakeholders—to deliver fully integrated and optimized electrical systems.
  • Participate in project meetings, provide regular progress reports, and effectively communicate design solutions, issues, and recommendations to cross‑functional teams.
  • Foster strong relationships with project teams and ensure alignment with project goals and customer requirements.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in electrical design for buildings or industrial projects.
  • Experience with battery manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, or petrochemical plant design is a plus.
  • In‑depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and others.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software including Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and EasyPower.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance workload and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver findings and recommendations to cross‑functional teams.
  • Understanding and application of IATF16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO14001 quality and environmental standards (training provided).
Travel
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel to support project execution and collaborate with global teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the battery manufacturing, semiconductor, or petrochemical industries.
  • Familiarity with energy‑efficient practices in industrial electrical system design.
  • Certifications in energy management or electrical engineering specialties related to manufacturing.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor. Conditions include moderate noise, temperature extremes, and forklift traffic.
