Job summary

JBS USA in Utah is seeking a maintenance mechanic to perform proactive maintenance and repair of plant equipment on swing shift. The role focuses on safety and efficiency while maintaining high food-safety standards.

You will work under the maintenance supervisors/lead hand, completing scheduled and unscheduled tasks, and assisting other plant areas during major problems to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Performs maintenance and repair on plant equipment, following safety procedures.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures on equipment as assigned by supervisors/lead hand.
• Assists other areas of the plant during major problems to maintain operations.

Responsibilities

• Completes all assigned tasks, scheduled and unscheduled, as directed by supervisor.
• Assists in day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and monitors all areas for safety and food safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• This position ensures all aspects of the maintenance mechanic functions are performed in a safety and acceptable method.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment that is assigned by the maintenance supervisors/lead hand.
• Assist other areas of the plant when major problems occur

Functional Requirements

• Completes all assigned tasks scheduled and unscheduled work as directed by supervisor
• Assist in the day to day operations of the maintenance department. Includes but is not limited to the assistance of all maintenance areas of the plant, insuring that all assigned areas of the maintenance department areas are being monitored and documented as required by safety, food safety, company policy, & procedures
