River Metals Recycling - A Nucor Company in Glasgow, KY is seeking a Maintenance/Production technician to support granulator and tilt shredder operations while performing routine mechanical maintenance on Saturdays. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a high-output recycling environment.

The position requires mechanical aptitude, equipment maintenance experience, and the ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Experience maintaining or repairing industrial equipment.
• Experience changing bearings, belts, motors, blades, or hammers.
• Mechanical maintenance or production equipment training.
• Prior experience with granulators, shredders, conveyors or similar recycling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures per company and OSHA guidelines.
• Support first and second shift granulator operators in the granulator and tilt shredder departments.
• Perform routine maintenance on granulator equipment.
• Grease components and conduct preventive maintenance tasks.
• Change blades, hammers, belts, motors, and bearings as needed.
• Conduct dedicated granulator maintenance on Saturdays.
• Inspect equipment and report defects to management.
• Assist production and maintenance teammates as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
