The position supports first and second shift granulator operators and includes Saturday maintenance of the granulator and tilt shredder, combining production support with basic mechanical maintenance.

Safety is paramount; candidates must demonstrate the ability to uphold safety policies and housekeeping standards while performing routine maintenance and equipment inspections.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Experience maintaining or repairing industrial equipment.
• Experience changing bearings, belts, motors, blades, or hammers.
• Mechanical maintenance or production equipment training.

Responsibilities

• Follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Support granulator operators in the granulator and tilt shredder departments.
• Perform routine maintenance and general upkeep on granulator equipment.
• Grease components and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Change blades, hammers, belts, motors and bearings as needed.
• Perform granulator maintenance on Saturdays.
• Inspect equipment and report defects or needed repairs.
• Assist production and maintenance teammates as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
