Job summary

Nucor Corporation in Glasgow, KY, is seeking a Maintenance/Production team member to support granulator operations and perform routine maintenance on Saturdays. This hybrid role blends production and mechanical upkeep to keep the shredder and granulator running safely and efficiently.

You will follow OSHA safety procedures, assist first and second shift operators, report defects, and participate in preventive maintenance, blade and belt changes, and equipment inspections.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Experience maintaining or repairing industrial equipment.
• Experience changing bearings, belts, motors, blades, or hammers.
• Mechanical maintenance or production equipment training.

Responsibilities

• Follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Support first and second shift granulator operators in the granulator and tilt shredder departments.
• Perform routine maintenance and general upkeep on granulator equipment.
• Grease equipment components and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Change blades, hammers, belts, motors, and bearings as needed.
• Perform dedicated granulator maintenance on Saturdays.
• Report defects or needed repairs to management.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
