Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Lancaster, OH is looking for a Multi Craft Technician (Maintenance). You will perform preventive maintenance and repair on electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment, working closely with the plant team to support operations.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, PLC knowledge, and experience in a manufacturing setting. Shift is 7am-3pm, with every other weekend work; onsite location with comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with extensive troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power.
• Ability to install and set up AC and DC drives; read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Passion for safety and accurate paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production machinery functions correctly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
• Work on motors, conveyors, AC/DC drives, and related equipment.
• Operate steam and boiler controls and mechanical power drives.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Adhere to safety and environmental policies.
• Complete timely documentation.
