Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support the preventive and predictive maintenance of material handling systems. You will troubleshoot mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls, and perform welding/fabrication as required.

The role requires interpreting schematics and manuals to diagnose faults, and may involve developing small project scopes and working with higher-level technicians. A flexible schedule may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade or related area and an associate degree in a related area preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
Interpret electrical or mechanical schematics and engineering specs to troubleshoot and repair faults.
Enter and retrieve data in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
Work safely and attend required trainings and safety meetings.
Read PLCs and burn EEPROMs as needed.
