Job summary

Homestead is seeking a Maintenance Tech III at Stella in Columbus, OH. This role ensures the property's functionality, safety, and appearance by performing a wide range of maintenance and repairs and responding to service requests to support resident well-being.

Responsibilities include diagnosing major systems, completing work orders with accurate records, conducting routine checks on HVAC and appliances, inspections of common areas, and assisting with unit turns.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of property maintenance experience.
• HVAC certified; CPO certification preferred.
• Strong resident relations and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair major systems.
• Complete work orders promptly with records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and service requests.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on HVAC, appliances, etc., to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect common areas, grounds, and apartment units, addressing maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Complete/assist unit turns and inspections.
• Maintain curb appeal by landscaping and groundskeeping, snow removal when needed.

The Maintenance Tech III position plays a critical role in ensuring the overall functionality, safety, and appearance of our property. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repairs, responding to service requests, and contributing to the well‑being and satisfaction of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair major systems
• Complete work orders promptly and efficiently including maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and service requests
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure all equipment including but not limited to HVAC, appliances, etc. are in good working order.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas, grounds, and apartment units, identifying and addressing maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Complete/assist unit turns and inspections
• Maintain the curb appeal of the property by performing landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal duties when needed.
• Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
• Train and assist Maintenance Techs I & II
• Performs additional duties as needed to support business operations

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of property maintenance or related experience
• Working knowledge of maintenance tools, safety procedures and general repair practices
• Must be HVAC certified and have or willing to get CPO certification if applicable
• Strong resident relation skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand/walk for the majority of the day
