Job summary

Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Maintenance Tech III - 1st Shift at the Cayce, SC bakery to maintain and repair production equipment and facility systems, ensuring reliable operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient bakery production. This role helps maximize equipment performance while upholding food safety and regulatory standards.

Shift is 1st shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with every-other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 4+ years industrial maintenance experience in instrumentation, measurement and control systems, electronics, mechanical, and/or electrical maintenance; or 6 years in lieu of a diploma.
• Experience in refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, or food manufacturing process controls preferred.
• Strong knowledge of equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and accurate documentation in maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment to maintain operational reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment overhauls, installations, and fabrication to improve performance.
• Diagnose equipment failures and support rapid restoration of production operations.
• Operate maintenance tools, lifts, forklifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in maintenance systems.
• Ensure GMP, food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate maintenance with internal teams and external contractors to minimize production downtime.
