Job summary

QVC is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to support the Bethlehem fulfillment center in Pennsylvania. The role involves basic repairs on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building maintenance within a fast-paced production environment.

You will assist other maintenance technicians and report to the Area Manager. Responsibilities include building and equipment maintenance, planned and unplanned repairs, and ensuring safety with 5S and lock out/tag out procedures.

Qualifications

• Broad understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Familiarity with blueprints and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility repairs including plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, and wall repair.
• Repair dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates; assist outside vendors.
• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on production-related equipment and building systems.
• Maintain safety through 5S, identify hazards, and follow lock out/tag out policies.
• Support conveyors, automation and sorter systems maintenance.

Job description

Your Opportunity, Your Team

• Maintenance Tech II supports QVC and HSN and perform basic tasks and repairs within the fulfillment center including work on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building maintenance. This requires a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. You will assist all other Maintenance Tech's with more complex maintenance responsibilities. You will report to the Area Manager.

Where You'll Work

• This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Bethlehem, PA. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. The shift will be Sunday to Wednesday from 6pm – 4:30am. On Call as needed.

What You'll Do

• Building Maintenance – Perform and/or facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair. Perform repairs on dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates to resolve problems and ensure successful operation. Escort and assist outside vendors.
• Equipment Maintenance – Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment. Identify and correct safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical. Help with repairs when unscheduled breakdowns occur.
• Conveyor, Automation and Sorter Systems – Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment. Help with conveyor, automation and sortation system repairs.
• Electrical – Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter. Will follow lock out/tag out policy.
• Safety / Facility Cleanliness –Practice and be a leader in 5S and safety procedures to ensure that the area is safe, organized, and clean. Maintain complete inventory and cleaning of all equipment and work areas daily. Identify and act immediately to correct any safety hazards, spills., to avoid the risk of accident, and elevate issues.
• Other responsibilities, and activities as assigned. To ensure all requests are completed in a safe.

What You'll Bring

• 6 months - 3 years' experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced production environment.
• High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification (i.e., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or equivalent military technical training.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals.
• Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications
• Ability to be on call, work days or nights, weekends and overtime
• Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC systems
