Job summary

QVC Group in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to support conveyors, PIT equipment, and building systems in our fulfillment center. This on-site role reports to the Area Manager and operates Sunday to Wednesday 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM with on-call as needed.

You will perform general facility repairs, preventive maintenance, and assist vendors while ensuring safety and 5S practices. Required 6 months to 3 years of mechanical/electrical experience, HS diploma or trade certification, and

Qualifications

• 6 months - 3 years' experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced production environment.
• High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification or equivalent military technical training.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; read and comprehend technical manuals; familiarity with blueprints and engineering specifications.

• Building Maintenance – perform general facility repairs (plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, painting, wall repair).
• Equipment Maintenance – perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment and building systems.

This requires a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. You will assist all other Maintenance Tech's with more complex maintenance responsibilities. You will report to the Area Manager.**Where You'll Work*** This role is **onsite** and will require you to work from our Bethlehem, PA. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. **The shift will be Sunday to Wednesday from 6pm – 4:30am. On Call as needed.****What You'll Do*** Building Maintenance – Perform and/or facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair. Perform repairs on dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates to resolve problems and ensure successful operation. Escort and assist outside vendors.* Equipment Maintenance – Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment. Identify and correct safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical. Help with repairs when unscheduled breakdowns occur.* Conveyor, Automation and Sorter Systems – Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment. Help with conveyor, automation and sortation system repairs.* Electrical – Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter. Will follow lock out/tag out policy.* Safety / Facility Cleanliness –Practice and be a leader in 5S and safety procedures to ensure that the area is safe, organized, and clean. Maintain complete inventory and cleaning of all equipment and work areas daily. Identify and act immediately to correct any safety hazards, spills., to avoid the risk of accident, and escalate issues.* Other responsibilities, and activities as assigned.
