Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring a maintenance technician for our Belleville, MI facility to support planning, scheduling and routine/site-wide maintenance of utilities systems including ammonia, HVAC, boilers and refrigeration.

Role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance, high school diploma or GED, and HVAC/mechatronics credentials. Candidates should have strong troubleshooting, safety training and familiarity with GMP/LOTO practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; industry certs preferred.
• HVAC certification and mechatronics training highly desirable.
• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance in manufacturing, food industry preferred.
• Experience with ammonia/HVAC and refrigerant systems is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and safety knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, scheduling and maintenance activities.
• Maintain water treatment, refrigeration, boiler functions and equipment including ammonia, HVAC, and related systems.
• Keep regulatory and compliance records for all systems.
• Perform PM and work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with duties as needed; emphasize safety accountability.
