Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Belleville, MI seeks a Maintenance Tech II to support planning, scheduling and maintenance of water treatment, refrigeration, boiler systems and related equipment in a multi-craft environment. The role emphasizes PM completion and strict safety accountability in daily operations.

Experience with Ammonia/HVAC, refrigerant systems and food-grade production is preferred, with focus on compliance with SQF, GMPs and LOTO standards.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
HVAC or related technical certification preferred.
Mechatronics Certifications Levels 1-4 completed.
3–5 years hands-on maintenance in manufacturing.
Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Experience with Ammonia/HVAC and refrigerant systems.
General mechanical systems knowledge.
Strong troubleshooting and operational skills.
Training in refrigeration and controls.
Knowledge of SQF, GMPs, LOTO and Lean.

Responsibilities

Supports planning, scheduling and maintenance activities.
Maintains water treatment, refrigeration, boiler functions and equipment including ammonia and HVAC.
Maintains regulatory and compliance record keeping for systems.
Perform routine and emergency maintenance in multi-craft environment.
Responsible for PM and work order completion in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
Upholds 200% safety accountability for self and others.
