Job summary

Pitzer College is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform skilled preventive and general maintenance on campus facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, and related renovations. This role is based on the Claremont, CA campus and requires on-campus presence.

The position is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 8:00 am–4:30 pm shift, and participates in the on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of trade experience in building and utilities maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
• Ability to communicate in English with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operate, test, install, repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Perform plumbing inspections and repairs on fixtures and pumps.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Provide excellent customer service and be available for after-hours calls.
• Submit maintenance work requests and manage workflow.
