Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to improve, maintain and repair equipment across manufacturing, production, refrigeration and packaging functions.

You'll troubleshoot mechanical and process issues and apply continuous improvement methods to maximize uptime and efficiency. In this role, you will support planning, scheduling and preventative maintenance for water treatment, refrigeration, boilers, ammonia and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Mechatronics certifications Levels 1–4 completed.
• 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Ammonia/HVAC and refrigerant systems.
• Knowledge of GMPs, LOTO, SQF and Lean Manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning, scheduling and maintenance activities.
• Proactively maintains water treatment, refrigeration, boiler functions and equipment including ammonia, refrigeration, boilers, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC.
• Regulatory and compliance record keeping for all systems.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance of utilities systems in multi-craft environment including PLC, instrumentation, mechanical and general equipment repair.
• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance and work order completion in a timely manner.
• Preform other duties as required by Maintenance Manager.
• Practices 200% safety accountability in self and others.
