Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to improve, maintain and repair equipment across manufacturing, production, refrigeration and packaging functions.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and process issues and apply continuous improvement methods to maximize equipment efficiency and effectiveness. The role supports planning and maintenance activities, maintaining ammonia/HVAC and related systems, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Mechatronics Certifications Levels 1-4 completed.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning, scheduling and maintenance activities.
• Maintains all water treatment, refrigeration, boiler functions and equipment including ammonia, refrigeration, boilers, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC.
• Keeps regulatory and compliance records for all systems.
• Performs routine and emergency maintenance of utilities systems in a multi-craft environment including PLC, instrumentation, mechanical and general equipment repair.
• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance and timely work order completion.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
• Demonstrates 200% safety accountability in self and others.
