Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring for a maintenance professional to improve, maintain and repair all equipment used in manufacturing, production, refrigeration and packaging.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and process issues and apply continuous improvement to maximize equipment efficiency. The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance in a manufacturing setting, with experience in ammonia/HVAC and refrig​erant systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification in HVAC or related technical field preferred.
• Mechatronics certifications completed.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ammonia/HVAC and refrigerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning, scheduling and maintenance activities.
• Proactively maintains water treatment, refrigeration, boiler functions and equipment including ammonia, refrigeration, boilers, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC.
• Regulatory and compliance record keeping for all systems.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance of utilities systems in multi-craft environment including PLC, instrumentation, mechanical and general equipment repair.
• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance and work order completion in a timely manner.
• Preform other duties as required by Maintenance Manager.
• Practices 200% safety accountability in self and others.
