Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to support the distribution center's conveyor systems and facility assets. The role requires a strong understanding of OSHA and LOTO, and involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, following PM standards, and documenting work in the asset management system.

You will report to Maintenance leadership, assist in training junior technicians, and collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2-year technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages and equipment.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.
• Basic English reading comprehension & numerical reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it's operational needs

OVERVIEW:

Maintenance Tech II responsibilities include a strong understanding of OSHA requirements in regards to LOTO and other safety related items. The teammate will be responsible for maintaining/ troubleshooting and repairing all aspects on the conveyor systems, and facilities related assets.

1st Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

$29.50/hr

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC's, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO
• Basic English reading comprehension & numerical reasoning skills.
