About the job:
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property. Responsible for preventive maintenance, painting, and repairs inside and outside the property to provide a safe, attractive and orderly environment for the benefit, and use enjoyment protection of residents, staff, and visitors.
Required Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Graduate of trade or vocational school, with courses in blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC equipment, refrigeration and electricity preferred.
Minimum two (2) years full-time experience in building maintenance to include construction or maintenance of equipment and utilities preferred.
Knowledge of state building, plumbing and electrical codes and ordinances.
Know how to turn the main water valve and power off in case of emergency.
Knowledge of basic machinery and tools.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for task suck as timekeeping and documentation.
