Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join Laurel Towers in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, painting, and repairs to ensure a safe, attractive environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekends and a pay rate of $18 per hour. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent and relevant trades training, plus 2+ years of building

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade or vocational school with courses in blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and electricity preferred.
• Minimum two years full-time maintenance experience including equipment and utilities.
• Knowledge of state building, plumbing and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Make recommendations to the Community Administrator on maintenance repairs and improvements.
• Repair and paint the building exterior as needed.
• Maintain adequate lighting inside and outside the property.
• Schedule and expedite work orders.
• Maintain a clean and orderly storage room.
• Capable of using and climbing an extension ladder to access roof, windows, and siding for repairs.
• Follow facility safety rules and complete required training.
• Be available to work on-call for 24-hour maintenance.
