Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems in our Atlanta DC. You will handle PLCs, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics while following PM standards and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's Degree and 3–5 years of hands-on experience, strong reading of electrical schematics, and a solid safety mindset, including LOTO procedures. Join a team focused on reliability and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO
• Basic English reading comprehension & numerical reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and PM procedures.
• Maintain and repair facility equipment including PLCs, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Report spare parts usage and inventory to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to improve performance.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Support DC operations as needed.

Job description

Base Pay: $28.90/hr

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs
