Job summary

Denver Housing Authority is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to prepare vacant units for occupancy across multiple locations in Denver. The role performs routine minor maintenance and custodial work, supporting technical staff to ensure a safe, clean, and habitable living environment for residents.

The position requires use of hand and power tools, basic electrical and carpentry tasks, grounds care, and timely completion of work orders in compliance with DHA and HUD standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year general maintenance experience.
• Valid Colorado driver license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant units for occupancy with routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Perform minor electrical repairs (bulbs, switch plates) and carpentry repairs as needed.
• Assist with grounds keeping and landscape maintenance, seasonal tasks.
• Complete work orders promptly and document materials used for each task.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and refer issues to the appropriate staff.
