Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician L1 to support the Mars Hill plant. You will perform maintenance and reliability tasks, assist with asset health improvements, and work with the plant team to meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, equipment installation, startups, and process improvement projects while following GMPs and food safety guidelines. Weekend/holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associates degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred.
• Prior SAP experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate with maintenance team to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Learn and apply Precision Maintenance techniques.
• Perform technical troubleshooting with experienced staff.
• Participate in maintenance training for staff.
• Support reliability procedures for spares and parts.
• Assist in quality commissioning for new or rebuilt equipment.
• Use CMMS to document reliability reporting and decisions.
• Maintain accurate records and provide root cause analysis input.
