Job summary

Pillar Properties seeks a Maintenance Technician I to help maintain interiors and exteriors of our properties in the Seattle area. You’ll support preventative maintenance, complete work orders, and assist with plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks to keep communities safe and well-maintained.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, basic tools, and strong communication skills to coordinate with residents, staff, and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, employees and vendors.
• Own or access to basic hand tools and basic painting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain apartments and common areas with preventative maintenance.
• Complete written work orders promptly.
• Assist with plumbing tasks (sinks, toilets, bathtubs).
• Assist with minor electrical work in units and common areas.
• Paint apartments and common areas.
• Support safety procedures and hazard communications training.
• Respond to community emergencies as needed.
• Travel between local properties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
