Job summary

SYNNEX Corporation in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility assets in a busy logistics center, supporting safe operations and maintaining equipment quality. Expect 1–3 years of maintenance experience, the ability to diagnose AC/DC motors and mechanical drives, and working knowledge of conveyor systems and CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience.
• Ability to replace and diagnose AC/DC electric motors, mechanical drives, and gearboxes under guidance of an experienced technician.
• Basic mechanical repair experience and troubleshooting abilities to include bearings, chains, and belts.

Responsibilities

• Perform assisted and occasionally unassisted preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment and building assets within the logistics center
• Learn and support maintenance of conveyor systems using conveyor control software
• Safely learn and work with electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480V 3-phase
• Ability to assist with the removal and installation of equipment
• Assist in maintaining all spare parts inventory
• Learn and operate computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Maintain assigned tools and ensure they remain in good working condition
• Maintain a clean and quality appearance of all equipment and facility assets
• Follow all Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, including execution and recordkeeping
• Meets all attendance policy and lead by example for all safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management
