Job summary

Albuquerque Housing Authority is seeking Maintenance Tech I & II to maintain AHA properties, perform unit repairs, and manage grounds. You will handle work orders and basic preventive maintenance under supervision. Tech I requires a HS diploma/GED, NM driver's license, and about one year of hands-on residential maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid and Active NM Driver's License.
• One year of hands-on experience in unskilled installation, maintenance, and repair of residential fixtures, plumbing/hvac.
• Maintenance Tech II requires three or more years of hands-on experience in skilled installation, maintenance, and repair of residential fixtures, plumbing/hvac.

Responsibilities

• Perform unskilled and semiskilled craftwork in the maintenance and repair of AHA-owned properties.
• Complete work orders for repairs in units, unit turnovers to prepare for new tenants, and outdoor maintenance and grounds work on buildings, landscaped areas, parking lots, and related facilities.
• Perform routine preventive electrical and plumbing maintenance work; maintain maintenance and repair inventory levels.
