Albuquerque Housing Authority seeks Maintenance Tech I/II to perform unskilled and semiskilled craftwork across AHA properties, complete unit repairs, and manage grounds and inventories.
Position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid NM driver's license, and 1+ year (Tech I) or 3+ years (Tech II) of related experience; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; benefits include medical, dental, vision, PERA and more.

Under direct or general supervision, performs unskilled and semiskilled craftwork in the maintenance and repair of AHA-owned properties; completes work orders for repairs in units, unit turn overs to prepare for new tenants, and outdoor maintenance and grounds work on buildings, landscaped areas, parking lots, and related facilities; performs routine preventive electrical and plumbing maintenance work; and maintains maintenance and repair inventory levels.
Maintenance Tech I: $16.71 per hour ($34,756.80 annually) - $20.55 hourly ($42,744.00 annually). *Starting wage for Maintenance Tech I position will be $16.71 per hour. See below for qualifications.
Maintenance Tech II: $18.44 per hour ($38,355.20 annually) - $22.68 hourly ($47,174.40 annually). *Starting wage for Maintenance Tech II position will be $18.44 per hour. See below for qualifications.

Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures and technical manuals. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, contractors, supervisors, co- workers, residents, and city/county agencies.
Ability to legally drive and reliable transportation are requirements of this position.
