Job summary

Brothers International Desserts Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to ensure the reliability and safety of ice cream production equipment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mixers, pasteurizers, freezers, packaging machines, and refrigeration systems. You will follow safety standards (OSHA, FDA, GMP), document activities, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement improvements that reduce downtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; technical cert or associate degree preferred.
• Experience with refrigeration systems and ice cream equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on mixers, pasteurizers, freezers, and packaging machines.
• Follow OSHA, FDA and GMP standards; maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Provide technical support to production teams and collaborate with engineering.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and accurate maintenance logs.
• Assist in training personnel on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
