Job summary

Steele Solutions Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker L1 for the 2nd shift in South Milwaukee, WI.

Under supervision, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience preferred in steel/metal manufacturing, ability to travel between Wisconsin locations, strong problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in steel/metal manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to travel between Wisconsin locations and drive between sites.

Responsibilities

• Completes required preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs all manufacturing equipment (Drilling machines, paint line, presses, forklifts etc.).
• Performs routine electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment.
• Performs general maintenance and repairs of facility and grounds (including basic carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, groundskeeping etc.).
• Inspects all building locations, and schedules repairs.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Uses tape measure, caliper, micrometer and other measuring tools to perform tasks accordingly.
