Job summary

Schwan's Company is seeking a maintenance technician for our pack/production area in Salina, KS. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smoothly.

You will follow food safety rules, handle emergency repairs, and manage spare parts/inventory while adhering to OSHA standards and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred
• 0–2 years of related experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to complete work orders and enter required paperwork into a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment like conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smoothly.
• Follow food safety rules when working around production areas and use cleaning procedures and food-grade materials to stay in code.
• Handle emergency repairs when equipment breaks down during production and get things back up quickly to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to ensure availability when equipment needs fixing or upgrading.
• Always work safely, follow OSHA regulations, and keep the area clean and in line with company rules.

Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour Additional $2.00 shift differential from 3 p.m. -- 6 a.m. Shift: 1st Hours: 6 am - 3:30 pm

• Always working safely, following OSHA regulations and keeping your area clean and in line with company rules.

  What You Will Bring:
