Job summary

CJ Schwan's in Montgomery County, PA is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to keep production lines running smoothly. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines while following food safety rules and OSHA requirements.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (a two-year maintenance trade degree preferred) and 0–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 0–2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to read safety documents and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Follow food safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory.

Job description

Starting Pay: $24.50 per hour

Additional $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. -- 6 a.m.

Shift: 2nd Shift

Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You Will Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment like conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smooth and prevent breakdowns.
• Follow food safety rules when working around production areas, using the right cleaning procedures and food-grade materials to keep everything up to code.
• Handle emergency repairs when equipment breaks down during production, getting things back up and running as fast as possible to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to make sure you've got what you need when equipment needs fixing or upgrading.
• Always working safely, following OSHA regulations and keeping your area clean and in line with company rules.

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter the required paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
