Job summary

Schwan's Company in Salina, AZ is seeking a maintenance technician for the pack/production area. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential for 3 p.m. – 6 a.m.

This is a full-time position in a food manufacturing environment with advancement opportunities. • Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to complete work orders and enter paperwork into a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment (conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machines) to keep production running smoothly
• Follow food safety rules and use proper cleaning procedures and food-grade materials
• Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime

What You Will Do:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment like conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smooth and prevent breakdowns.
• Follow food safety rules when working around production areas, using the right cleaning procedures and food-grade materials to keep everything up to code.
• Handle emergency repairs when equipment breaks down during production, getting things back up and running as fast as possible to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to make sure you've got what you need when equipment needs fixing or upgrading.
• Always working safely, following OSHA regulations and keeping your area clean and in line with company rules.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
