Job summary

Community Investment Strategies, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to uphold and repair essential community facilities in Englishtown, New Jersey.

You will perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and HVAC tasks, schedule and participate in maintenance projects, and maintain accurate records of work orders and inspections. This on-site role requires reliability, safety awareness, and the ability to complete duties within the allocated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Ensure community facilities are well maintained
• Schedule and participate in maintenance projects
• Perform plumbing work such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, zone valves, pipe sections
• Perform carpentry work such as fitting doors, replacing molding, repairing structural framing, and refinishing floors
• Clean grounds and common areas
• Paint, tape and spackle
• Repair concrete, masonry, roofing and fences
• Maintain and monitor HVAC systems
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, work orders, turnovers, annual inspections, inventories and purchase orders
• Recommend improvements at facilities and/or services
• Ensure work is completed as assigned, within the specified timeframe and allocated amount
• Be on call for emergencies
• Other duties assigned
