Job summary

The Farmstead at Medford is accepting applications for full-time and part-time Maintenance Tech / Security Associates in Medford, NJ. You will join a team focused on resident safety, cleanliness, and building upkeep across the community.

Schedule is flexible with Evening/Overnight shifts available. Associates receive a meal during shifts and benefit from a hospitality-driven culture that values respect, kindness and service excellence.

Qualifications

• You have the ability to develop positive relationships with residents, peers and the community.
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• You have basic computer skills including Email, Microsoft Word, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services for public common areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests from Residents including basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and various maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and respond to emergencies such as building life safety systems and the fire alarm panel.
• Overnight Shift – monitor the concierge desk and field security requests, inquiries or maintenance needs.
• Regularly tour the building to ensure all entry doors are closed and locked after hours.
• Serve a senior population with quality service and uphold hospitality standards of Respect, Kindness, and Service excellence.

The Farmstead at Medford (an Independent Living Senior Community) is accepting applications for full-time and part-time Maintenance Tech / Security Associates to join our team! We offer a first-class experience for residents and their guests. Our Maintenance Team delivers outstanding service to our residents, focusing on first impressions, community safety and maintenance upkeep of the entire community.

• Overnight Shift - you will monitor the concierge desk and field any security requests, inquiries or maintenance needs during the overnight shift.
• You will regularly tour the building as needed to ensure that all entry doors are closed and locked after hours.

Qualifications:

• You have the ability to develop positive relationships with residents, peers and the community.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Working in a team environment, supporting and caring for our fellow colleagues.
• You have a minimum of 1 year facility maintenance experience in a hotel, apartment, or senior living facility.
• You have experience performing routine and basic maintenance and building repairs with a working knowledge of custodial cleaning procedures including floor-care and painting touch-up.
• You have basic computer skills including Email, Microsoft Word, etc.
• Preferred basic HVAC experience (while not mandatory, this is a plus.)
• You have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, managers, and vendors.
• You have the ability reach, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs.
