Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 or 3 for first shift at our manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support production reliability across hydraulic, pumping, and piping components.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to support zero incidents.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, control wiring, and electrical controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to restore production.
• Inspect and repair mechanical components and systems including hydraulics and piping.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment with training provided as needed.
• Participate in maintenance projects including equipment installation and upgrades.
• Document preventive maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues.

We are currently hiring for a first-shift Maintenance Tech 2 or 3 position, with level and pay determined by qualifications and experience. Pay ranges from $30.90 to $37.10 per hour. The schedule consists of eight-hour shifts, five days a week.

What You Will Do:

• Follow all safety guidelines, electrical safety procedures, and established safe work practices to support the organization's goal of zero incidents.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, control wiring, and electrical controls to identify and resolve manufacturing equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to support reliable operation and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to safely restore production.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical components and systems, including hydraulics, pumps, and piping.
• Support troubleshooting of programmable logic controller (PLC)-controlled equipment, with training provided as needed.
• Participate in maintenance projects, including equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications.
• Collaborate with production team members to identify equipment concerns and coordinate maintenance needs.
• Document preventive maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend improvements to equipment reliability and operation.

Maintenance Tech

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and operate machinery continuously.
• Ability to routinely lift objects of 25lbs. and push or pull objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours during high-demand production seasons.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years' experience in industrial electrical systems, control wiring, control systems (electrical).
• General operating knowledge of PLC's used in an automated manufacturing plant preferred, but willing to train.
• General knowledge and background in manufacturing equipment, hydraulic systems, pumps, piping systems (mechanical).
• Certification in Arc Flash is a plus but not required.
