Job summary

Tempur Sealy is recruiting a Fabrication Technician/Saw Operator for 1st shift at our Wright Township, PA facility. The role centers on cutting foam plates, operating fabrication equipment, and maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment.

Starting in 2027, the shift will transition to 10-hour days, four days a week, with a pay rate of $20.95 per hour. Safety, data entry, and cross-task collaboration are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to stand and operate machinery continuously.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and work as a fully empowered team member.
• Follow instructions and suggest improvements.
• Cut foam plates to specified dimensions.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment.
• Adjust machines and make corrections.
• Assist with other fabrication tasks.
• Oversee saws in the fabrication department.
• Enter data into a computer.
• Use scan guns for transactions.
• Conduct daily cycle counts of plates on the production floor.
• Maintain accuracy of paperwork.

We are currently recruiting for a Fabrication Technician/Saw Operator on 1st shift. Hourly Rate $20.95. The shift will be changing to 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, starting in 2027.

What You Will Do:

• Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully empowered team member to achieve the organization-wide goal of zero incidents.
• Follow specific instructions on completing tasks assigned and be able to make suggestions for improvement.
• Cut foam plates into specified dimensions.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment in assigned work area.
• Adjust machines and make corrections.
• Assist with other tasks associated with product fabrication.
• Responsible for all operations of saws cutting in the fabrication department.
• Accurately key data into a computer.
• Transact accurately with scan guns.
• Daily cycle counts of all plates on the production floor.
• Maintain accuracy of all paperwork.

What you will need:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and operate machinery on a continuous basis.
• Ability to routinely lift objects of 25lbs. and push or pull objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours during high-demand production seasons.
• Knowledge of PC usage is preferred, as well as basic data entry operations.
• Fork truck certification is a plus.
• Must be able to pass PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) course and receive certificate.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail.
• 18+ years of age.
