Job summary

Westerman, Inc. in Casper, WY, is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Custodian to support manufacturing operations at the JW Williams facility.

The role blends industrial cleaning with light maintenance to uphold safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. You will perform custodial tasks, basic maintenance such as changing filters and light bulbs, and assist with minor repairs, following OSHA and LOTO safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of custodial, janitorial, or light maintenance in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Basic tool use and time management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Custodial, cleaning, and sanitation of floors and restrooms; trash removal.
• Basic maintenance: change air filters, replace light bulbs, minor plumbing/hardware fixes.
• Facility upkeep: patch walls, paint surfaces, check safety equipment.
• Grounds and exterior upkeep: snow removal, outdoor litter cleanup.
• Safety and compliance: follow OSHA, LOTO rules, handle chemicals safely.
• Inventory control: restock maintenance supplies and PPE.

This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc).

This position requires employees to be on-site and work in the shop. Successful candidates will be required to live in Casper or within a reasonable commuting distance. Relocation assistance is available and can be discussed during the interview process.

SUMMARY

Westerman, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Custodian with a proven ability to maintain plant safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. The role combines industrial cleaning with minor facility repairs to support continuous manufacturing operations. A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.

• - Custodial & Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, empty trash, and clean and sanitize restrooms.
• - Basic Maintenance: Change air filters, replace light bulbs, and fix minor plumbing or hardware issues.
• - Facility Upkeep: Patch wall damage, paint surfaces, and check safety equipment like fire extinguishers.
• - Grounds & Exterior: Remove snow, sweep walkways, and handle basic outdoor litter or debris cleanup.
• - Safety & Compliance: Monitor buildings for hazards, report major repair needs to management, and follow chemical safety rules. Follow OSHA standards, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) safety rules, and handle hazardous cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.
• - Inventory Control: Track and restock facilities maintenance supplies, cleaning chemicals, and PPE stations.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• - 1-2 years of hands-on custodial, janitorial, or light maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• - Basic tool use, time management, and independent problem-solving skills
• - Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication required
• - Must have and maintain a valid U.S. drivers license with an acceptable MVR as determined by the insurance carrier and the Companys Vehicle Use Policy
