Job summary

Safe Fleet in Eagan, MN is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the operation, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced manufacturing and CNC equipment, ensuring production uptime and safety.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Salvagnini systems, Torit dust collection, CNC lathes, and Doosan and Haas machines, along with strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree or certification preferred)
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
• Proven experience with Doosan and Haas CNC machines
• CNC lathes and machining centers
• Torit dust collection systems
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Technical manuals
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime
• Diagnose and repair issues on CNC equipment, including Doosan and Haas machines
• Maintain and troubleshoot Salvagnini sheet metal fabrication equipment (panel benders, laser systems, automation equipment)
• Service and maintain Torit dust collection systems, including filter replacement, airflow troubleshooting, and system inspections
• Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, including reading schematics and working with PLC-controlled equipment
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Keep accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the operation, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced manufacturing and CNC equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining high-performance machinery, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient production operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience working with Salvagnini systems, Torit dust collection systems, CNC lathes, and Doosan and Haas machines, along with a solid background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Welding or fabrication skills (a plus)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing/industrial environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving parts
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
