Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Maintenance Tech B for the night shift to ensure production equipment runs safely, reliably, and efficiently. The role focuses on sustaining critical machinery, reducing downtime, and supporting product quality in a collaborative team environment.

Shift: 3rd 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday. Responsibilities include hands-on maintenance, PM/PdM activities, troubleshooting, and updates to CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems including bearings, shafts, pulleys, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes.
• Service conveyance systems, piping, and utilities (steam, air, water).
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation and reduced downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues impacting safety, quality, and production efficiency.
• Execute repairs efficiently and communicate findings, corrective actions, and recommendations to maintenance and operations teams.
• Complete work orders supporting plant initiatives, upgrades, and reliability improvements.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and process enhancements.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure effective execution of work.
• Mentor and support the development of entry-level technicians (Levels C & D).
• Partner with senior technicians (Level A) on more complex tasks, installations, and overhauls.
