Job summary

Vivmark Residential is offering a Maintenance Technician Apprentice program in NJ/NY. You will train with the property management team to learn HVAC, plumbing, appliances, and electrical work over 14 weeks, with a path to promotion to Maintenance Technician at a site with a current vacancy.

Participants train hands-on and in the classroom, guided by experienced staff, and gain experience while learning company software and procedures. A strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• General ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies after hours and weekends when on call.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation if operating a vehicle.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Partner with service team members for on the job training.
• Observe and learn a wide range of maintenance skills and processes.
• Operate light equipment for basic repairs under supervision.
• Demonstrate skills by working independently or with a team as training progresses.
• Perform maintenance tasks to gain hands-on experience and showcase proficiency.
• Learn relevant computer software applications used by the service team.
• Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday: 9am-6pm.
